We are looking for a candidate who has a 2:1 or first class degree within Psychology. It would be advantageous if you were to currently hold a teaching qualification of a HEA qualification, and be a member of the British Psychological Society. You will need a flexible approach to teaching, as you will be expected to teach at level 4, 5 and 6, and across a range of different areas within Psychology, therefore applicants with specialisms in any field of Psychology may apply.
It is essential that you contribute to the management and administration of the programme. Further to this, you should be able to articulate complex topics effectively, and have a lively and enthusiastic approach that demonstrates a passion for the discipline, which you should be able to impart on students. A good level of emotional intelligence and personal resilience are essential for this post.
Applicants should also show a commitment to research as you will be expected to promote the research culture and activities within the department. You will also be expected to engage with existing research activity and be involved in the development of further research groups.
